Wolf Creek Safety Page
Wolf Creek Little League takes safety VERY seriously.
Little league is all about fun, but keeping the players and families safe is
critical for a successful program. Please see the sections below for
safety policies and tips for keeping your Little Leaguers safe.
Parents are a big part of the Safety of the
league! Don’t let your children play on a field that is not safe or with
unsafe equipment. Be sure your players are fully equipped at all times,
especially catchers and batters.
Please report anything you feel is unsafe to the officials (umpires, coaches or
managers) on the field.
Background Checks
-
WCLL requires that all Board Members, Managers, Coaches,
and any person helping on the field, pass a background check prior to
working with children.
There will be at least one person at the field that has met this
requirement.
-
Every effort is made to ensure that coaches are trained,
qualified and approved for working with kids at this level.
Safety Tips for Parents
-
Please bring your cell phone to games or practice.
-
Promptly pick up your child from practice and games.
Talk to the coach if you will be leaving during the practice/game to ensure
that they know how each child will get home.
-
Make sure the coach has your current contact information.
-
Be Prepared! Many of the fields have limited facilities
and no concession stands.
-
Bring water for both you and your child.
